Oakland University School of Engineering and Computer Science
When I started my position as Communications Assistant and Web Content Developer for the School of Engineering at Oakland University, the social media pages needed some work. I developed a plan, tracking reach through insights and analytics, and scheduling posts. I also made the pages uniform and up-to-code with the University’s standards. Following my start, post reach and following among the three main social media accounts saw a big increase.
In May 2014 when I started with the school, the Facebook page’s posts were inconsistent, and there were about 700 total page likes. Since then, the page has grown to have almost double the likes (1,152 page likes as of Nov. 2015) and a consistent daily post reach of at least 1,500.
From May 2014 to Nov. 2015, the OUSECS Instagram page following increased by 400%, with each photo getting at least 20 likes.
The Twitter’s following tripled since I started managing the page.
